How would I live without it?

We all know there are GREAT baby products out there. There are also some that seem great, but end up being a waste of money. This is my first post sharing a product I love and wonder how I could live without. This first one, in fact, I wonder how I lived without it while raising my first 2 children!!!! It is THAT cool.

Now, I know I have only been using it for 5 days, but already it is a lifesaver. I used it in the hospital and of course now that we are home. It is the Itzbeen Baby Care Timer...

This product was made for ME. I have always kept a journal with my kids, recording their nursing, diapers and such for at least the first few weeks. I am not an obsessive schedule momma, but I do forget easily and like to have a reference in case my brain goes scatter! This timer doesn't allow me to be scatterbrained!! It has 4 different timers, for whatever you need to time.

Right now I am timing her feedings, and my 2 pain medications. Each time I begin one, I just click the appropriate button and it begins counting up again it shows me how long it has been since the last time.

It also has a light up button, so I can see it in the dark, as well as a nightlight which I use while feeding her at night. It has a lock feature-so the buttons don't accidentally get reset, and a clip so I can wear it on my hip if I need to (when I begin moving around a lot again).

I am in love with this gadget, so glad I have it to be my brain while I am still looking for mine.

so glad you write about this!! I am from the Netherlands,Europe, and have been thinking about buying it for our 2 week old son (eh, for his mom: me!).
But the question is: does it keep a record of MORE data. So does it only know the LAST nursing time or can I keepa record of what the nursing times (and so) were for DAYS?

Could you please answer that?? Cause you HAVE it and I don't know anyone who actually has an "itzbeen".

My mailaddy is patricia*sonshine.nl if you would have a minute ;-) (or here, I will check)

Patricia-No it does not keep a record, I still use my journal for that. It is just a help not having to know and remember times, I just look at the timer. At the beginning of my nursing I restart the button and it counts up. I record in my journal the time I began and how long it had been between feedings, so I can get an accurate count for the day as well as an average of how long she's going between feedings.

It is WELL worth the $25!

I thought about buying this for myself, and now that you've reviewed it, I think I will buy it as a shower gift!

Now I know we are kindred spirits. Not only do we share a name we both love this tool. I agree that the journal is still needed, but I think not having to write in it in the fogginess of the middle of the night is great. My family also used it so that they knew when I last feed to know if they should wake me up to feed in the morning (for example, if I fed at 5am my husband would try to hold her off until 8am if he was awake when she started waking up at 6:30 but I didn't stir)

where oh where has this thing been all my child rearing life? I AM an obsessive scheduled mom and I have logs for days. My daughter is already 13 months but I can see how this would be helpful for me for her naps and medications when little ones are sick.

I just may have to talk hubby into another child to make this a worthwhile purchase!

Oh, thanks for the review. I think I have to buy one for our new addition. Running around after a toddler and being sleep deprived is probably not going to help my forgetfulness.

I just saw this in a magazine, and added it to our wishpot wish list. We used trixietracker, but I still had to do paper/pencil if I wasn't at the laptop or if it wasn't on, and then transfer the info over. Thanks for the review.
